Perdido Posible en abril? Paseo por el Breche de Roland abierto? Condiciones en general?

Hola Sdmountain, la ruta es perfectamente posible en abril, o en cualquier época, si  llevas material y la meteo acompaña. Piolet y crampones indispensables, raquetas útiles es función de cuanta nieve quede y creo que será mucha tal como va el año. No necesitarás ningún material de escalada ni cuerda.

La ruta es muy evidente solo debes seguir el cañon de ordesa hasta el final para llegar a Goriz pero ojo porque es una zona avalanchosa. El Perdido solo tiene problemas en la canal final, llamada Escupidera, unos 35-40ª pero expuesta y peligrosa por la derecha, ojo allí.

El camino de Góriz a la Brecha sin problemas por los Collados de Descargador y Millaris, unas 5 -6 horas al refugio francés de Sarradets

Otros compañeros más expertos igual te dan más datos, aunque por lo que escribes creo que vas bastante sobrado para esta ruta, suerte y que disfruteis

Gracias por el respuesto rapido. La opcion para conocer a esta montana me parece bien. Como yo continuo consiguendo mas informacion sobre opciones de transporte publico, me parece que voy a empezar por gavarnie y entrar la brecha desde francia y luego seguire al Perdido y otros picos en forma de traversia.

Soy de los EEU. Encontre este foro como me gusta comunicarme con gente que conoce la region que yo intento visitar.

Hi Susan,

I´ve just been in "La Breche du Roland" two weeks ago to climb the Taillon. Of course that there is a lot of snow, but there is no need of rope at all, just bring piolet and crampons.

My advice if you want to climb Monte Perdido is to start from the "Valle de Ordesa" and sleep at "Refugio de Goriz" which is open all the year and it is shorter. If you want to climb to la Brecha de Rolando from France (from the town of Gavarnie)you can also spend the night in the "Refuge du Sarradets", but there is no service in winter and you will have to bring your food and enough fuel to melt the snow in order to get watter up there. (There is a room open for cooking and one shared beedroom (round 36 beds I think)).

The day I climbed the Taillon I met someone in the summit that came from "Refugio de goriz" after climbing "Monte Pedido" the day before, so I do not think there is any dificulty at all appart from the distance in snow.

If the conditions are similar to what I found then, there will be snow down from the valley (1300 meters high). This means of course that it will take more time to complete any tryp.

Muchas gracias por toda la informacion. I am happy to hear that you had a good trip recently and that conditions are fine. I might include Tailon depending on timing and conditions. My research shows that buses to Torla are very sparce these days (april 10, 11th) and could take up to 9 hours. Hence, my approach from France. I am landing in Pau and do not have a car there.
